Daedalus Complex is the first Data Pack of the Red Sands Cycle, where players are transported to the colonies of Mars. The Martian Colony Wars have ended, allowing terraforming to commence, but the clans still run the colonies and clash with the Martian Colonial Authority. The corporations that invested in early Mars development reap their rewards in the form of lax rules and considerable influence, allowing them to exploit workers in more egregious ways. In the first Data Pack, Weyland gets a new identitiy – Jemison Astronautics – which can use its relative autonomy to advance high risk agendas. Runners face new challenges like an even longer lag than the Moon; it takes a few minutes to send data from Earth to Mars.
