Architects of the West Kingdom is a worker placement game set at the end of the Carolingian Empire. Players compete as architects trying to impress the king by constructing important buildings and landmarks, while advancing work on the grand Cathedral. To do so, players must collect materials, hire apprentices, manage their workforce – and make moral choices.
