Chinese Checkers is an abstract strategy game where players race to move their pieces across a star-shaped board. Each player starts with 10 pieces in one of the star’s points and aims to be the first to reach the opposite point by hopping over other pieces. The game, despite its name, originated in Germany and is a simplified version of Halma – and definitely shouldn’t be confused with Xiangqi which is the true Chess variant from China.
