It turns out the Pearlbrook River running through Everdell is home to an underwater civilization. You will send a frog ambassador there to establish diplomatic relations and trade. Doing so will mean new rewards, like pearls that can be used to play Adornment cards into your city. You may also build Wonders, which are worth extra points at the end of the game.
