An obvious classic. More than a decade later, the game holds up thanks to the vast open world, rich story, and fierce foes.

Control is as incredible as it is enigmatic. The combat, mixing psychic powers with more traditional shooter tactics, is both chaotic and satisfying. But it was the sense that there were always more secrets to unravel and the environmental storytelling that really kept me playing.

Forbidden West is a gorgeous game. The open world is big and simply beautiful. More importantly, there's never a lack of action. The main storyline is great, but even most of the side quests feel substantive.

I loved playing through all of the Everdell expansions. All equally adorable and surprisingly nuanced, they're even more fun to play when you combine a couple. So many woodland creatures to choose from!

If I could only play one game for the rest of my existence, it'd be BG3. I'm so sad Larian won't make a BG4 but can't wait to see what they come up with next.
